Staff Development Studios

The Staff Development Studios are hands on training specifically designed for staff. Each year we hear how important it is for Vision Source to provide training and education that will help elevate the skillset of staff across categories be it in the optical, a technical skill or customer service & sales. These courses will take place on Wednesday concurrent with continuing Education. Each session will be 50 minutes long with 10 minutes of transition time. Staff should come ready to learn and engage with participating vendors.

 

Wednesday, April 19

Staff: The most important advocates for eye care hygiene and product implementation (10:00 - 10:50 am)

Description: Patients get lots of information from their doctors during a visit, but staff are the main points of contact at any clinic. Come learn how your role in patient care integrates with Pure&Clean products!

Maximizing Multiple Pair Percentages (10:00 - 10:50 am)

Description: Learn actionable advice on the key methods for fortifying your sales strategy. We’ll cover what software to use to improve ordering efficiency, sales techniques that work even if you’re short-staffed, important benchmarks to monitor, and best practices and strategies for increasing your multiple pair percentages.

Working Smarter, Not Harder Utilizing Emotional Intelligence (11:00 - 11:50 am)

Description: Dr. Maggie Sass, PhD. will explore the four core skills of emotional intelligence: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness and Relationship Management. We will discuss how these skills apply to your everyday work environment and how you can be more efficient and effective in your offices.

Description: We will start this course with a quick DISC® personal assessment to help determine how you work best in the workplace. DiSC® is a personal assessment tool used by more than one million people every year to help improve teamwork, communication, and productivity in the workplace. With that information, we will cover how you can achieve the gold standard of customer experience utilizing your personal strengths.

Don't Be Afraid, It's Only Selling! (1:00 - 1:50 pm)

Description: Join Robert Bell, of EyeCoach, for the workshop that will change your perspective on Selling and will change your professional life! It will make your communications with your patients more powerful. You will learn how to ask very simple yet compelling questions, you'll learn how to overcome any objection with 5 words or less, you'll learn how to have your patient close the sale (so you don't have to) and you'll learn how to blow away your multiple pair sales!

VIVA success in Toric and Multifocal contact lens fitting. (1:00 - 1:50 pm)

Description: Two of the biggest ways to grow your contact lens practice are elevating toric and multifocal fitting. In this session led by an NCLE-certified optician, you will learn about CooperVision’s toric and multifocal lens designs and how to increase your confidence in prescribing them.

Hands-on training with Dry Eye and Myopia Management with Oculus (1:00 - 1:50 pm)
